ECOLOGICAL ORGANIC AGRICULTURE | The Sustainable Way of Farming

This infographic video illustrates the contribution of Ecological Organic Agriculture in conserving the environment, increasing incomes as well as increasing small scale farmers’ nutritional and food security. It further illustrates Ecological organic farming practices that farmers can adopt in order to increase production.


This infographic was developed with funding from Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and support from Biovision Africa Trust under the Ecological Organic Agriculture Initiative which was designed to establish an African organic platform, based on available best practices and to develop sustainable organic farming systems.


This video aims at motivating uptake of Ecological Organic Agriculture practices and consumption of organically produced foods among all value chain actors across the country.

International Women’s Day | Voices from grassroot women leaders

During the International Women’s Day, ESAFF Uganda documented 3 women small scale farmers in Iganga district. These women shared their stories on how COVID-19 affected their wellbeing and their leadership journey in the time of the pandemic. In this video, the women further explain their roles as women in leadership in regards to ensuring food security, women rights, fighting Gender Based Violence and uplifting fellow women in their communities. #ChoosetoChallenge | #IWD2021

International Day of Peasants’ Struggle

On this 17th April, ESAFF Uganda together with other farmer organisations and partners around the world commemorated the International Day of Peasants’ Struggle. The small-scale farmers call on the government of Uganda to do three main things.

Promoting Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) in Uganda

ESAFF Uganda implemented the R2F Project Phase I funded by Oxfam in Uganda. During the project, ESAFF Uganda used a CRA Model to build the capacity of small-scale farmers to approach the different challenges of climate change in Agriculture.

This video presents some of the techniques that small-scale farmers adopted and the change that happened.

Promoting Farmer Managed Seed Systems in Uganda

ESAFF Uganda implemented the R2F Project Phase I funded by Oxfam in Uganda. During the project, ESAFF Uganda used the CMSS and FFS Model to build small-scale farmers' capacity to preserve and protect their seed rights. During the project, small-scale farmers especially women engaged in different activities that promoted Farmer Managed Seed Systems.

GALS Methodology in promoting Land Rights and Gender Equality

ESAFF Uganda implemented the R2F Project Phase I funded by Oxfam in Uganda. During the project, ESAFF Uganda used the GALS Methodology in addressing land rights challenges and gender inequality in the household in order to promote the household's right to food. This video presents the changes in some households.
