Today, dozens of civil society organisations gathered to demand that parliament haltsthe
amendment of Article 26 of the Constitution. The article guarantees the right to property and
requires that when government compulsorily acquires land in public interest, it compensates
affected people before taking over their land.
We the small scale farmers from thirty districts of Uganda convening at Colline Hotel in Mukono district over two days to discuss issues and concerns affecting agroecology in Uganda under the theme “Enhancing farmer-to-farmer knowledge, information and experience sharing of agro ecological approaches” with objectives of suggesting policy strategies to increase agroecology practices in Uganda.Download file
